Gardens, Parks and Wild Areas in and around Wagga Wagga

Central Wagga's tree lined streets

Wagga Wagga sits on the border of the South West Slopes and the Riverina in the heart of Wiradjuri Country. This meeting place gives us a much wider range of environments, plants, animals and birds than most places.

Short trips will take you to a variety of gardens, parks and wilder areas, with woodlands, rivers, sheltered gullies, grasslands, lakes and mountains all in easy reach.

Take time to "Listen to the Land" as you visit places. Some will nurture you, some give comfort, joy or peace, and some will make you uneasy. Listen, observe and strive to understand what this Country tells you and what you can do for this Land. The Land will welcome you and you become part of Wiradjuri Country.
