The Presentation Sisters

The Presentation Sisters have had close association with teaching and aiding the poor since their foundation more than 225 years ago. The Wagga Wagga Congregation belong to the Society of Australian Congregations of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary (PBVM), which is a society of six autonomous Congregations in Australia and a group of Australian and Melanesian Presentation Sisters in Papua New Guinea. The Wagga Wagga Congregation was founded in 1874 by a group of Sisters from Ireland. Click here for more on their history.

Internationally, the Australian Presentation Sisters have an association with the Union of Presentation Sisters. The Presentation Sisters were founded in Ireland in 1775 by Nano Nagle and 2009 marks the 225th anniversary of her death in 1784. For more on the Union of Presentation Sisters, click here.
